Janus and Brenda have been living in Somers for the past 8 years but have had strong links with the Somers community for the past 40 years. Their present home was originally Janus’s childhood home and was a holiday home for Janus, Brenda and their family for many years. Avid sailors, both of them have their own off the beach boats and throughout the summer months can usually be found at the yacht club involved in both social and sailing functions.
Having a design background, Janus has spent 6 years renovating his childhood home before embarking on the renovations of what was once a small 2 bedroom flat situated behind their home. It is now connected to the main house via a garage and is surrounded by a newly planted landscape of grasses and native bushes which will continue to attract the local bird life. They plan to add a raised vegetable garden for their guests to use and are looking forward to developing a small orchard on the side of their property.
Having lived on the Mornington Peninsula for so many years, both Janus and Brenda have a wealth of knowledge to offer any visitors, who need advice on places to visit, activities and good eating places in the area.
